Founded in 1903, Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity is an organization dedicated to encouraging, nurturing, and supporting the art of music. Sigma Alpha Iota's collegiate membership includes women and non-binary individuals who exemplify personal and professional leadership through their commitment to musicianship.

Cullowhee, North Carolina is home to Western Carolina University & the Eta Theta chapter of SAI, chartered on May 6th, 1984. Throughout its 40 year sisterhood, Eta Theta has worked to support a thriving community, both in the School of Music and throughout the wider campus.

Hello! Welcome to the official website of the Eta Theta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota at Western Carolina University! My name is Madeline Heaton, and I am the current President of our chapter for the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 term. Here at Eta Theta, we are dedicated to upholding our international fraternity’s standards of musicality, professionalism, scholarship, service, and good character at all times. Our chapter is made up of multiple music major concentrations, as well as non-music majors with a strong passion for music. Our Sisters and Members consist of many different musical talents, including vocal, instrumental, dance, and theatre. I hope you enjoy looking through our website and the information we have to offer about our cherished Sisterhood.
